Compensation principles
Compensation can take many forms once we agree to work together. Retainers with cash and/or equity payments, project-based success fees, and commissions – we have contracts in all these forms.

EcoG
Sharpening the investor proposition.
EcoG, specializing in hardware and software solutions for EV charging, needed to refine their investor presentation for A-round financing. AMÖL engaged with EcoG’s CEO, management, customers, and investors, identifying a lack of unified vision and market potential clarity. We developed the “Universal Core” product positioning and nomenclature through this interaction to simplify EcoG’s value proposition. Antti and AMÖL team initiated a brand refresh due to the outdated look & feel, coordinating with other agencies for a unified marketing approach. The outcome was a streamlined investor proposition (eg, 12-slide pitch deck), a successful investor engagement, and a comprehensive messaging and branding refresh better reflecting EcoG’s shift from hardware to software.
Neom
Making the case for foreign direct investment.
NEOM is the flagship economic project of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The goal is to create an economic region in NW Saudi Arabia that will become an industrial center. It is the world’s largest construction project. Mark was on-site in a desert camp for one of the early years, immersed in the planning and construction milieu, and charged with developing propositions to attract investment from the global construction industry. A megaproject is unlike any other experience, and there are stories to be told about the people attracted to doing what seems impossible.
Space Network Services
Repositioning the cost/performance envelope for NationSats.
Countries or even cities can now have a radically cost-effective sovereign communications satellite. Working with SNS founders and engaging with other influentials, including potential customers, we sharpened the proposition and christened the Nebulite platform, a new niche in the Geostationary orbital marketplace. Our communications leverage Nebulite’s strengths in affordable sovereign satellite telecommunications, incremental fleet agility, resilience, and surgical HTS assist/offload.
Innofrugal
Creating a more sustainable and affordable world.
Antti, as a co-founder of Innofrugal, has helped it in its mission to promote global frugal innovation. This non-profit organization focuses on driving sustainable solutions for societal challenges. Antti and our team support Innofrugal’s goal to be a critical frugal innovation platform, achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals and maintaining values like collaboration and sustainability. AMÖL’s efforts enhance stakeholder engagement in creating affordable, sustainable solutions, contributing to practices like AI for Impact and Circular Economy.
Orava
Making Web3 work responsibly.
Orava is realizing its vision for innovative web3 engagement with influencers, content creators, and entrepreneurs. Antti’s expertise as one of the founders enhances Orava’s strategies in fan engagement and eco-friendly initiatives, particularly in leveraging NFTs for creative interaction and wealth generation. His guidance is vital in developing Orava’s unique, secure, and enjoyable fan experience ecosystem using web3 technology.
Metabar
Reframing water-based cleaning power.
Since the industrial revolution, societies have lifted and pressurised water for washing and put it through nozzles. This is energy and water-wasteful.
The demand for hygiene has increased – but not the supply of potable water. Metabar is about more for less – more cleaning power for much less water.
Platform of Trust
Positioning the Nordics leading data harmonization platform.
Platform of Trust, a unit of Finland’s Vastuu Group, is the first harmonization platform to equip customers with the tools to design their data products; we christened the Nordic flat-pack approach to data products. Customers in the construction industry can organize their materials management for TAKT operations. Mark a member of the AMÖL network, engaged with customers and influentials in the construction industry and, in the course of that, wrote the narrative proposition for global expansion. We later sold Platform of Trust into a project in the Middle East. Mark has a long history of working with this team in positioning, proposition development, and strategy.
Bitwards
Dematerialising 40 billion keys.
We have replaced money. We have replaced cards. And yet, we have not replaced an estimated 40 billion keys (a dongle is a key in a different form). Bitwards is revolutionizing access control with a universal, interoperable standard that simplifies and secures entry across various platforms, eliminating the need for multiple keys and cards. Mark has been a long-term strategic advisor on the globalisation of their platform.
SkyLifter
Disrupting precision-lift’s painful price/performance constraint.
Just as people want holes, not drills, constructors want a precision hook in the sky, not the helicopter tearing at the air to fight gravity. SkyLifter is a hybrid lift, a software-driven thruster system with the lift enabled by a lenticular Helium aerostat. Once seen, it cannot be forgotten. The initial “Duo” carries 2MT. Onboard batteries enable long-duration flight. We are targeting construction, defense, and agriculture applications. AMÖL is developing the construction sector proposition and is the Nordic representative.
Descycle
Reframing the toxic metals recycling process.
Recycled metals are harvested using toxic chemicals and the intense heat of furnaces and crucibles. More than 20 years of research into a special class of non-toxic salts named Deep Eutectic Solvents has demonstrated their ability to dissolve strategic metals from e-waste. The metals are then recovered from the pregnant liquid using electrolysis and other conventional methods. No heat, non-toxic, low capital – the world’s ability to recycle transition metals is stepping up. Mark is a founding shareowner in Descycle, and we are the Nordic representatives.
KQC
Bringing Quantum computing to today’s challenges.
Quantum computing is no longer far off – it is here. What should companies do to prepare for the opportunities and address the risks? KQC is a consultancy not like any other – a digital consultancy has coders and systems architects. But quantum computing is not a digital semiconductor paradigm – it is material. KQC has physicists and mathematicians. KQC is starting in Finland with a global model and its investment fund. AMÖL is a founding partner in this exciting offering because a new paradigm requires new communication methods.
Visma
Positioning a customer-focused entity around a growth mindset.
A Norwegian pioneer in mission-critical systems, VISMA has become a colossus across 22 countries. In Finland, it is the leader, ensuring the reliability of systems that affect the lives of Finns, from students to pensioners. We worked with the senior leadership team to facilitate the transformation of two large units. We scaled our engagement method to include Visma employees interviewing customers, and other employees, to maximise insights and compress time.
Bayanat AI
Brining geospatial insights to address Nordic challenges.
The United Arab Emirates has a world-leading geospatial insights capability that was spun from its military origins to expand globally. Bayanat AI, recognizing the strategic importance of the Nordics as a gateway to Europe, appointed Amöl as their exclusive partner for business development in this region. Bayanat is a division of G42, the UAE’s champion for cloud and AI services and the originator of the first Arabic LLM. Amöl’s role in business development for Bayanat entails creating joint ventures, scouting for suitable investment candidates, and identifying mutually beneficial projects, further solidifying Bayanat’s global footprint in the geospatial sector.
